- Basford Hurst Cottage is Staffordshire’s Luxury photography / filming venue situated on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park. We have a established a great and reputable name within our industry since opening in 2023.
- Originally erected in 1889, Basford Hurst Cottage housed the garages, stables, and electricity generator for the main Basford Hurst House. It also provided living accommodation for the groom and chauffeur.
- An abundance of rooms, spaces and features await you at Basford Hurst Cottage. Some of our most notable features include a large wood panelled dining room, a spiral staircase, large fireplaces, a grand drawing room, huge windows with plenty of natural light, two bedroom set ups, a roll top bath, 3 acres of private woodland including a bridge and natural stream and much more.
- We provide opportunities for model portfolios, pre wedding shoots, engagement shoots, boudoir shoots, cosplay shoots, dance shoots, team building days, filming opportunities as well as hosting regular model studio days, events and photography workshops.
Basford Hurst Cottage is owned and managed by experienced model and amateur photographer Leanne.
Leanne has been modelling for 8 years and has ample experience as a fashion and art model. She opened Basford Hurst Cottage with a view to providing a safe, welcoming and all inclusive space for models, photographers and other creatives alike to come and enjoy and share in their creative journey.
As well as her well established modelling journey, Leanne has recently taken the plunge and picked up her own camera. She is currently in the process of learning life behind the lens, something she is incredibly passionate about.

Hire information and Prices
Basford Hurst Cottage is available to hire all year round except for some public holidays. Our standard opening hours are between 9am and 6pm, Monday – Sunday. We are closed on Thursdays. We can often accommodate bookings for earlier or later times providing these are prior agreed with the studio manager.
Since we opened back in April 2023 we have kept our prices incredibly reasonable. The time has now come, after 3 wonderful years, to implement a small price increase. This will be effective from the 1st March 2026. This is in line with inflation, but more so the extensive continued renovations that Basford has undergone, as well as the planned opening of our BRAND NEW Basford Studio!!

Basford Cottage & Private Grounds / Woodland
One Hour = £40 (A minimum of a 2 hour booking is required)
Four Hours = £140 (saving of £20)
Six Hours = £195 (saving of £45)
Eight Hours = £240 (saving of £80)
Basford Studio & Private Grounds / Woodland
One Hour = £35 (A minimum of a 2 hour booking is required)
Four Hours = £120 (saving of £20)
Six Hours = £165 (saving of £45)
Eight Hours = £200 (saving of £80)
Combined Cottage, Studio & Private Grounds / Woodland
One Hour = £60 (A minimum of a 2 hour booking is required)
Four Hours = £200 (saving of £20)
Six Hours = £270 (saving of £45)
Eight Hours = £320 (saving of £80)
For any existing bookings already made here at Basford in 2026 prior to the 1st March 2026, you can add on the studio to your booking for an additional £30 per 2 hours booked.
For any existing model studio day bookings already made here at Basford in 2026, prior to the 1st March 2026, you can add on the studio to your booking for an additional £15 per 2 hours booked. We are happy to be able to discount the rate for studio days in an effort to help touring models continue to sell slots here at Basford.
A minimum booking of 2 hours is always required for any booking here at Basford Photography & Filming Location. All prices are based on four people sharing the location and / or studio. Additional participants are charged at £20 per person regardless of the hire duration. Prices for studio days, workshops, events and commercial projects will vary and be provided upon application.
